Goal
Empower startup teams to develop a global overview of their innovations, guiding them from concept to scaling through prototyping and pilot testing.
Topics covered
- Theory and case studies on prototyping and piloting
- Hands-on prototype development
- User testing and validation
Program
Day 1 (7 hours) – Theory & Preparation – (Halmstad University, FabLab)
- Introduction to prototyping and piloting, including Design for X (DFX) across different domains (sustainability, user experience, production, etc.). The day will consist of lectures, case studies, and workshops to prepare startups for the next stages.
Day 2 (7 hours) – Prototyping – (Halmstad University, FabLab)
- Dedicated hands-on prototyping day in FabLab. Startups will work with specialists to create their products, with access to full prototyping resources. Preparations, such as CAD drawings and material selection, will be made in advance, ensuring a productive session.
Day 3 (7 hours) – Piloting & Testing – (Halmstad University, various lab facilities)
- Startups will test their prototypes in environments designed to simulate real-world usage, collecting valuable feedback. Each startup will have access to specific testing facilities tailored to their product needs. If a startup has an existing product, it can also be used for validation alongside the new prototype.
